Sources indicate that Punjab’s budget framework includes significant allocations for salaries, pensions, and development programs.

Reported estimates include:

  • Around Rs. 650 billion for government salaries
  • Approximately Rs. 505.8 billion for pensions
  • Projected tax revenue of Rs. 1,330 billion

Officials have also proposed Rs. 800 billion for the Punjab Finance Commission.

Development and Welfare Spending

Additional allocations under consideration include:

  • Rs. 25 billion for social protection initiatives
  • Rs. 150 billion for the “Suthra Punjab” program
  • Rs. 580.2 billion for operational expenditures
  • Rs. 221.9 billion for investment-related programs
