Slessor began the day with a 2-2 draw against Scotland’s Dean Young before defeating Wales’ Jackson Page 3-1 to strengthen his position in the group.
The decisive match came against China’s Xu Si, with the winner guaranteed a place in the tournament’s final stage.
Leading 2-1, Slessor produced an excellent break of 61 in the final frame to secure a 3-1 victory and finish at the top of the group.
Zhang Anda Also Advances
In the other qualifying group, China’s Zhang Anda, the former International Championship winner, also progressed to the final stage.
Zhang recorded convincing 3-0 victories over Jack Lisowski and Cheung Ka Wai, while drawing 2-2 with Jimmy Robertson, earning enough points to top his group.
Final Stage Set for Leicester
The Championship League’s final stage will take place in Leicester, where the remaining players will compete in a round-robin format for a place in the championship match.
