Pakistan Remains Unbeaten After Defeating Kazakhstan in CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship

Pakistan continued its impressive run in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball Championship by defeating Kazakhstan 3-0 in its final league-stage match at the Liaquat Gymnasium in the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
With the victory, Pakistan completed the league phase with five wins from five matches, finishing at the top of the standings and maintaining its unbeaten record ahead of the knockout stage.
Pakistan Secures Straight-Sets Victory
The hosts defeated Kazakhstan in straight sets:
- 25-23
- 25-19
- 25-21
Pakistan delivered another strong all-round performance, combining effective teamwork, disciplined defense, powerful serving, and solid blocking throughout the match.
Kazakhstan offered a tough challenge, especially in the opening set, but Pakistan held its composure during the key moments to secure the win.
Semi-Final Spot Already Confirmed
Pakistan had already secured qualification for the semi-finals after defeating Uzbekistan in the previous league match.
The latest victory ensured the team entered the knockout stage with a perfect record.
Uzbekistan Defeats Nepal
Earlier in the day, Uzbekistan registered a 3-0 win over Nepal.
Although Nepal pushed Uzbekistan in the opening set, Uzbekistan managed to edge it 26-24 before winning the next two sets 25-20 and 25-22 to complete a straight-sets victory.
Bangladesh Books Semi-Final Place
In another league fixture, Bangladesh earned a place in the semi-finals with a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Sri Lanka.
After dropping the opening two sets 24-26 and 24-26, Bangladesh recovered to win the remaining three sets 25-23, 25-21, and 15-12, completing an impressive turnaround.
Knockout Stage Ahead
With the league phase complete, Pakistan will now shift its focus to the semi-finals, where it will aim to continue its unbeaten run and move one step closer to the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship title.
