Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Assures Support to Traders from KP and Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured traders and industrialists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan that the federal government will continue working to address their concerns and strengthen measures aimed at ensuring a secure environment for business activities.

The assurance came during a meeting with a delegation representing chambers of commerce and members of the business community from both provinces.

Business Community Raises Concerns

During the meeting, representatives discussed the challenges facing businesses in their respective regions, including issues related to the overall security environment and its impact on commercial activities.

According to the Interior Ministry, the delegation shared its views on the difficulties encountered by traders and industrialists and emphasized the importance of creating conditions that support economic growth.

Government Pledges Cooperation

Mohsin Naqvi briefed the delegation on the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the security situation, particularly in KP and Balochistan.

He assured business leaders that the government remains committed to working with the private sector and will utilize available resources to help resolve legitimate concerns while supporting a safe environment for trade and investment.

The minister also emphasized the important role of the business community in strengthening Pakistan’s economy and promoting sustainable economic development.

Visits to Peshawar and Quetta Planned

Naqvi announced that he plans to visit Peshawar and Quetta in the near future to hold detailed meetings with local traders, industrialists, and senior government officials.

He said these discussions are intended to identify practical and long-term solutions to the challenges faced by businesses in both provinces.

The Interior Minister highlighted that a strong private sector is essential for national economic stability and development.
