Nokia 300 Charge Launches With 40-Day Standby Battery

HMD has introduced the Nokia 300 Charge, a new feature phone aimed at users who prioritize long battery life, basic communication and simple everyday features.

The phone’s main highlight is its 3,700mAh removable battery, which is significantly larger than the batteries commonly found in traditional feature phones. HMD also says the battery can be used to provide power to other compatible devices.

Compact Design and Display

The Nokia 300 Charge has a textured body designed to offer a sturdy feel. It measures 136.55 × 55 × 14.94mm and weighs 138 grams.

The handset features a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels. It is available in Green and Sandstone color options.

Although the phone has a rugged-looking design, it does not carry an official IP rating for water or dust resistance.

A high-powered LED flashlight is located on the top of the handset. According to HMD, the flashlight can be up to four times brighter than the one used on the Nokia 105 (2023).

Hardware and Connectivity

The Nokia 300 Charge is powered by the Unisoc SC6531E chipset and includes 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage.

Users can expand the storage with a microSD card of up to 32GB.

The phone runs HMD’s S30+ operating system and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, a speaker and a microphone.

For connectivity, the handset supports 2G GSM networks on the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands. It also comes with support for two Mini-SIM cards.

Basic Camera

The phone features a basic QVGA rear camera. The camera is intended for simple photography, while the overall device is primarily focused on calling, messaging and long battery life.

Large Battery With Reverse Charging

The 3,700mAh removable battery is the key feature of the Nokia 300 Charge.

HMD claims the phone can provide more than 40 days of standby time and up to 37.9 hours of talk time, based on the company’s testing conditions.

The battery supports 10W USB-C charging and also offers 10W reverse wired charging. This allows the phone to provide power to compatible devices such as wireless earphones and other phones.

A dedicated power-out button is included to activate the reverse charging function.
