Rescue 1122 Starts Fire Safety and First Aid Awareness Campaign in Shangla
Rescue 1122 Shangla has launched a district-wide awareness and training campaign aimed at promoting fire safety, first aid and emergency preparedness in educational institutions and government offices.
The initiative is designed to provide students, government employees and members of the public with basic emergency response skills that can be used while waiting for professional rescue teams to arrive.
Training Session Held at Government Degree College Chakesar
As part of the campaign, Rescue 1122 conducted a one-day awareness and training session at Government Degree College Chakesar.
Students participating in the session received practical guidance on several important emergency response techniques, including:
- Basic first aid procedures
- Fire prevention and safety measures
- Safe evacuation during emergencies
- Initial response to emergency situations
The hands-on nature of the training was intended to help participants understand how to respond calmly and safely during an emergency.
Rescue 1122 Highlights Emergency Helpline
During the session, officials also briefed participants about the 1122 emergency helpline.
The service provides round-the-clock emergency and rescue assistance across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, allowing people to seek professional help during accidents, fires, medical emergencies and other critical situations.
Officials encouraged participants to understand when and how to contact the emergency service.
Rescue 1122 Training Wing Leads Initiative
The training session was conducted by the Training Wing of Rescue 1122 Shangla under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Engineer Malik Sher Dil Khan.
The district-wide campaign will focus on educational institutions and government offices, with the broader objective of increasing awareness about emergency preparedness and basic life-saving skills.
By providing communities with practical knowledge about first aid and fire safety, the initiative aims to help people take appropriate initial action during emergencies before trained rescue personnel reach the scene.
