Petrol Prices Fall for Second Consecutive Day

The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next three days, according to the latest fuel price update issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

Petrol prices have been cut by Rs. 1.65 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs. 389.14 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has also been reduced by Rs. 0.88 per litre to Rs. 424.04 per litre.

The latest reduction marks the second consecutive daily decline in petrol prices.

On Thursday, petrol had already become cheaper by Rs. 0.43 per litre, falling from Rs. 391.22 to Rs. 390.79 per litre. However, diesel prices increased by Rs. 3.47 per litre on the same day, reaching Rs. 424.92 per litre.

According to the available daily pricing data, petrol has increased by Rs. 78.43 per litre since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions. During the same period, the price of diesel has risen by Rs. 100.74 per litre.

The latest changes will apply for the current three-day pricing period, subject to any further revision under the daily fuel pricing mechanism.
