2027 Women’s Volleyball World Cup: US Host Cities and Venues Announced

The host cities and venues for the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup in the United States have been confirmed, with Omaha, Orlando and Anaheim selected to stage matches during the tournament.
The United States and Canada were previously announced as the host nations in September 2025. Details of the Canadian host cities are expected to be announced separately.
The 32-team tournament will be held from August 20 to September 5, 2027, bringing leading women’s volleyball teams together in North America.
Three US Cities Selected
Omaha, Nebraska, and Orlando, Florida, will host pool-stage matches and the round of 16.
The selected venues are:
- CHI Health Center Arena, Omaha
- Kia Center, Orlando
- Honda Center, Anaheim
Anaheim will host the most important matches of the tournament, including the quarterfinals, semifinals and final at the Honda Center.
The venue will also later be used for the men’s and women’s indoor volleyball competitions at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
World Cup to Feature 32 Teams
The 2027 Women’s Volleyball World Cup will feature 32 national teams under the tournament’s expanded format.
The event is expected to play an important role in the qualification process for LA28. The top three teams that have not already qualified for the 2028 Olympics will earn Olympic qualification through the World Cup.
The tournament will therefore provide an important opportunity for national teams competing for a place at the next Olympic Games.
Host Cities Chosen for Volleyball Growth
Organisers said the three American cities were selected based on several factors, including established fan support, modern venues, local partnerships and the potential to introduce volleyball to new audiences.
The organisers also expect the tournament to contribute to the continued growth of women’s volleyball in the United States and Canada.
Craig Thompson, CEO of the WVWC27 Local Host Committee, said the event would introduce several new elements to the sport in North America, including modern venues, extensive live coverage and a dedicated finals week in Anaheim’s OCVIBE district.
Extensive Broadcast Coverage Planned
ION, part of the E.W. Scripps Company, is set to provide national coverage of the tournament in the United States.
The broadcaster plans to show 19 matches live on national television, along with 10 hours of studio programming.
A further 45 matches will be available through streaming, giving fans multiple ways to follow the competition.
Ticket Information
Ticket prices for the 2027 Women’s Volleyball World Cup are expected to be announced in mid-October 2026, when the tournament pools are revealed.
Fans can also register for updates and information about tickets and other tournament announcements through the official event platform.
The 2027 competition will mark the first time the Women’s Volleyball World Cup is staged in North America, adding another major international event to the region’s volleyball calendar ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
