Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan achieved another milestone in T20 cricket after taking his second career hat-trick during the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons’ nine-wicket victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 1 of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Shadab produced impressive bowling figures of 4 for 16 at Kensington Oval as the Falcons dismissed Guyana Amazon Warriors for just 76 runs. The Falcons then completed the chase in only 5.2 overs to book their place in the CPL final.
Amazon Warriors Collapse After Strong Start
Guyana Amazon Warriors reached 40 for 1 by the end of the powerplay but quickly lost control of the innings.
The team lost eight wickets for only nine runs in a dramatic collapse that lasted just 3.1 overs.
Pakistan spinner Sufiyan Muqeem began the slide in the eighth over by removing Glenn Phillips for 16 and Mohammad Haris for one.
Shadab then took charge in the following over, completing his second T20 hat-trick.
Shadab Completes Hat-Trick With Consecutive Googlies
Shadab first dismissed Shimron Hetmyer for two, with the batter caught at long-on.
The Pakistan leg-spinner then produced two consecutive googlies to remove Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Quentin Sampson, both without scoring.
The three wickets completed Shadab’s second T20 hat-trick and placed him among Pakistan’s leading bowlers in this category.
Shadab Becomes Second Pakistan Bowler With Multiple T20 Hat-Tricks
With his latest achievement, Shadab became only the second Pakistan bowler to take more than one hat-trick in T20 cricket.
His first came in the 2024 Lanka Premier League, when he represented Colombo Strikers against Kandy Falcons.
Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami remains the only Pakistani bowler with more T20 hat-tricks, having recorded three during his career.
Shadab has also become the third bowler in CPL history to claim a hat-trick.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan took the tournament’s first hat-trick in 2017, while West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell became the second bowler to achieve the feat in 2018.
Pakistan Bowlers Dominate Guyana
Shadab added another wicket in the following over, while Muqeem picked up two more wickets as the Pakistani bowling pair accounted for eight wickets between them.
Muqeem finished with excellent figures of 4 for 13 from four overs.
Shamar Springer and Joshua James also claimed one wicket each as Guyana were bowled out for 76.
Falcons Complete Quick Run Chase
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons needed only 5.2 overs to reach the target and secure a nine-wicket win.
Rahkeem Cornwall provided the biggest contribution with an explosive 49 off 16 balls, including three fours and six sixes.
Evin Lewis remained unbeaten on 23 from 13 deliveries, while Amir Jangoo scored four off four balls.
The comprehensive victory sent the Falcons directly into the 2026 CPL final.
