Gold Prices Drop for Fourth Consecutive Day in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Wednesday, marking the fourth consecutive session of decline in line with weaker international prices.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,800 per tola to settle at Rs453,936.

The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams also decreased by Rs1,544, reaching Rs389,176.

Gold had already declined by Rs1,800 on Tuesday, when the per-tola price closed at Rs455,736.

International Gold Prices Also Decline

In the international market, gold prices dropped by $18 per ounce to settle at $4,314, including a $20 premium.

The continued decline in global prices has also contributed to the recent weakness in Pakistan’s local bullion market.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan decreased by Rs30 per tola on Wednesday, closing at Rs7,008 per tola.
