Umrah Pilgrims Can Travel Without Vaccination Until October 10

Karachi: Umrah pilgrims have been given an additional 15 days to travel without completing the required vaccinations, officials said on Thursday.
The vaccination exemption, which was due to expire, has now been extended until October 10 to provide additional time for pilgrims to complete the vaccination process.
Extension Announced to Facilitate Pilgrims
Focal person Dr Murtaza Shah Bukhari said the extension was introduced to make travel arrangements easier for Umrah pilgrims and reduce difficulties related to obtaining vaccinations.
The decision gives travellers more time to complete the required health formalities before the exemption period ends.
Vaccination Centre Opens at Karachi Airport
A 24-hour International Traveller Vaccination Centre is also scheduled to become operational at Karachi airport from September 24.
The facility is expected to provide vaccination services to international travellers, including people preparing for Umrah travel.
Vaccination Charges
According to officials, the vaccination fees are:
- Meningitis vaccine: Rs2,785
- Influenza vaccine: Rs1,720
- Polio vaccine: Free of charge
Pilgrims planning Umrah can use the airport facility to complete the required vaccinations during its round-the-clock operating hours.
