Pakistan’s new Islamabad Cricket Stadium is set to become a major addition to the country’s cricket infrastructure, with its official design now unveiled. The proposed venue will have a seating capacity of 35,000 spectators and is expected to become one of Pakistan’s largest cricket stadiums.
The project is being undertaken by Habib-ZKB-EA JV, with Habib Construction Services serving as the lead partner. The development is aimed at strengthening Islamabad’s position as a venue for major domestic and international cricket events.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with the project team targeting completion within approximately one year. If completed within the proposed timeline, the stadium could provide cricket fans in the federal capital with a modern venue to watch matches and support Pakistan’s growing sports infrastructure.
The project is expected to be an important milestone for cricket in Islamabad, although the construction schedule and final delivery timeline will depend on the progress of work.
