IMC Over 40s T20 World Cup Rescheduled to November in Karachi
The International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over 40s T20 World Cup, originally set for December, has now been rescheduled to take place from November 21 to December 1 in Karachi, according to a press release by the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA).
This adjustment was made to avoid a scheduling conflict with the 35th National Games, which will now be held in Karachi from December 6 to 13. The PVCA, in coordination with government and sports officials, made the proactive decision to ensure both major events can run smoothly without logistical or security concerns.
📅 Why the Change?
The Over 40s T20 tournament was initially planned for December 1–13. However, with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announcing new dates for the National Games, the PVCA responded swiftly to avoid any overlap.
“To support the government’s efforts and respect the commitment of Sindh’s leadership to the National Games, we decided to revise the schedule,” said PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan.
The rescheduling was finalized during a recent meeting in Karachi, attended by Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar and Sindh Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar.
