Punjab Boards Postpone Matric Supplementary Exams Amid Flood Situation
Lahore (Sept 2025): In light of the recent floods and heavy rainfall across Punjab, major academic examinations have been postponed to ensure the safety of students.
Exams Delayed Across Punjab
The Lahore Board, along with other educational boards in the province, has announced that the supplementary matriculation exams—originally scheduled to begin on September 10—will now start on September 29.
Officials said the decision was made after several regions in Punjab were severely affected by floods, making it difficult for students and staff to safely travel to exam centers.
Revised Schedule and Roll Number Slips
Authorities confirmed that a revised date sheet will be issued soon. Roll number slips, which had been temporarily withheld due to the uncertainty, will now be distributed once the new schedule is finalized.
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) is expected to finalize and release the updated timetable in the coming days.
Students’ Safety First
Education board representatives emphasized that postponing exams was a necessary step to prioritize students’ safety during this challenging time. They also assured students that all measures are being taken to conduct exams smoothly once conditions improve.
