Carlos Alcaraz Sets Sights on Australian Open After Sixth US Open Victory
Fresh from his sixth Major title at the US Open 2025, Carlos Alcaraz is already focusing on the next big challenge – the Australian Open. While the Spaniard has conquered New York twice, Melbourne remains the only Grand Slam missing from his trophy cabinet.
Alcaraz, 22, has yet to advance past the quarter-finals in Australia, falling to Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic in previous editions. Undeterred, he is determined to change that and aims to lift the trophy Down Under, completing his Career Grand Slam.
“The Australian Open is my clear goal. I want to win all four Majors and achieve a Grand Slam. That remains my main target every year,” Alcaraz said.
The El Palmar native is already planning intense pre-season training to prepare for the unique challenges of the Australian summer. If successful, he could become the youngest player in history to achieve a Career Grand Slam, surpassing his idol, Rafael Nadal.
With the chase for tennis history underway, all eyes will be on Melbourne 2026, as Alcaraz seeks to cement his place among the sport’s legends while wrapping up another dominant ATP season.
