Pakistan Reduces Petrol Price by Rs3.93 Per Litre, Diesel Rate Unchanged
Pakistan’s federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs3.93 per litre, bringing the rate down to Rs386.30 per litre, according to the latest fuel price update reported by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The latest reduction comes amid daily adjustments in petroleum prices. High-speed diesel, however, will remain unchanged at Rs396.96 per litre.
The revised petrol rate marks a decrease from the previous price of Rs390.23 per litre. Diesel was also unchanged from its earlier rate, following a slight increase recorded in a previous adjustment.
Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan
According to the reported figures, the latest petroleum prices are:
- Petrol: Rs386.30 per litre
- High-speed diesel: Rs396.96 per litre
Petrol prices have fluctuated considerably since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions. Diesel rates have also experienced several increases and decreases during the same period.
Recent Changes in Fuel Prices
The latest adjustment follows a series of changes in petroleum prices throughout September and October 2026.
Petrol had reached Rs398.96 per litre on October 8 before declining in subsequent revisions. Diesel prices also moved during this period, reaching Rs396.96 per litre in the latest reported update.
Despite the recent reduction in petrol prices, the overall trend since daily pricing adjustments began has included substantial increases in both major fuels. The figures provided in the latest report indicate cumulative increases of Rs75.59 per litre for petrol and Rs73.66 per litre for diesel since the daily revision system started.
What the Latest Reduction Means for Consumers
The decrease in petrol prices may provide some relief to motorists, commuters and businesses that rely on petrol-powered vehicles. However, diesel remaining at Rs396.96 per litre means transport operators and other diesel-dependent sectors will continue to face the existing fuel cost.
Petroleum prices are closely watched across Pakistan because changes can affect transportation expenses, delivery charges and the cost of moving goods between cities.
Consumers are advised to check official government announcements for subsequent fuel price revisions, as rates may change again under the daily pricing mechanism.
