Islamabad Administration Reopens Margalla Hiking Trails

Islamabad Reopens Margalla Hills Hiking Trails After Weather Improvement

The Islamabad district administration has announced the reopening of all hiking trails in the Margalla Hills, allowing residents and visitors to once again enjoy outdoor activities. The decision comes after several days of restricted access due to heavy rainfall.

According to officials, the trails were initially closed as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety, with concerns over slippery paths and potential landslides. The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that the closures were temporary and based on safety recommendations.

With improved weather conditions and no significant rainfall expected in the coming days, authorities have declared the trails safe for hiking. The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast further supported the decision to lift restrictions.

The administration has advised citizens to remain cautious while hiking and to follow safety guidelines to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.

Outdoor enthusiasts can now head back to the scenic Margalla Hills to take part in hiking and recreational activities.
