Google Expands AI Plus Plan to 40 Countries, Including Pakistan

Google has officially launched its AI Plus plan in 40 new countries, including Pakistan, bringing advanced AI tools to more users at an affordable price.

Expanding Access to AI

The plan, first introduced in Indonesia earlier this month, received a strong response. With its wider rollout, Google says the service will provide “more access to powerful AI tools to help people level up their productivity and creativity.”

Farhan Qureshi, Google Pakistan’s Country Director, said:

“Pakistan’s digital landscape is vibrant and growing. With the launch of Google AI Plus, we are making these tools even more accessible to more people across the country. This is part of our commitment to fuel Pakistan’s digital transformation.”

Key Features of Google AI Plus Plan

  • Higher limits for AI-powered image generation and editing (Nano Banana) in the Gemini app

  • More access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most advanced model for complex queries

  • Veo 3 Fast video generation model in Gemini, Whisk, and Flow

  • Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and more Google apps

  • 200 GB storage across Photos, Drive, and Gmail

  • Family sharing option for up to five members

Google highlighted that this plan offers “an upgraded experience with one subscription”, making it easier for families and individuals to enjoy advanced tools together.

Pricing in Pakistan

The Google AI Plus plan is available in Pakistan starting today for Rs1,400 per month. As a launch offer, first-time subscribers will get 50% off for the first six months.

Government Collaboration

Earlier in July, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with Google’s regional AI team to discuss collaboration in developing Pakistan’s AI ecosystem. She emphasized the government’s commitment to AI training in education and the workforce, signaling strong public-private partnership opportunities ahead.
