30 Terrorists Killed in Orakzai Operation Following Attack on Security Personnel: ISPR

  October 10, 2025

Orakzai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pakistan’s security forces have successfully eliminated 30 terrorists involved in the recent Orakzai attack, in which 11 security personnel, including two officers, embraced martyrdom earlier this week, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Friday.

According to ISPR, the operation was part of a “retribution campaign” launched after the tragic incident that took place on October 7, 2025. The initial encounter occurred when security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Orakzai district following reports of the presence of “Indian proxy elements” linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to by the state as Fitna Al Khawarij.

Details of the Operation

During the first exchange of fire, 19 terrorists were killed, while 11 brave soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq and Major Tayyab Rahat, laid down their lives in the line of duty.

In a follow-up mission conducted in the Jamal Maya area of Orakzai, security forces — acting on credible intelligence — tracked down and neutralized the remaining 30 terrorists responsible for the attack. The ISPR described the encounter as an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the complete elimination of the perpetrators.

“These successful operations have avenged the heinous act and brought the main perpetrators to justice,” the ISPR said in its statement.

Pakistan’s Commitment to Eliminating Terrorism

The ISPR emphasized that sanitization operations are still ongoing in Orakzai and surrounding areas to ensure that no further threats remain.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined and remain steadfast in their resolve to eradicate and wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement added.

Honoring the Martyrs

The military paid rich tribute to the martyred officers and soldiers, calling them the “brave sons of the soil” whose sacrifice will never be forgotten. The ISPR reiterated that their courage continues to inspire Pakistan’s ongoing fight against terrorism and extremism.

A Message of Strength and Resolve

This latest operation underscores Pakistan’s zero-tolerance stance toward terrorism and its continued efforts to secure peace and stability in the region. The elimination of the Orakzai attackers marks another step in the country’s broader mission to dismantle networks threatening national security.
