Government Announces Revision in Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan

The Government of Pakistan has announced a revision in petroleum product prices, providing relief to consumers through a reduction in fuel rates.
According to the announcement, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs. 12 per litre, while high-speed diesel has seen a larger decrease of Rs. 135 per litre.
After the revision, petrol will now be available at Rs. 366 per litre, down from Rs. 378, while diesel will be priced at Rs. 385 per litre.
Earlier, fuel prices had been increased significantly, with petrol reaching Rs. 458 per litre and diesel rising to Rs. 520.35 per litre. Subsequent adjustments were also made before the latest reduction.
The new prices are expected to take effect from Saturday.
