Mustafizur Rahman Ruled Out of PSL 11 After Bangladesh Cricket Board Withdraws NOC

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has withdrawn the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, ruling him out of the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).

Rahman, who was representing Lahore Qalandars in the tournament, had already played five matches before leaving for international commitments.

Return to National Duty

The left-arm pacer joined the Bangladesh national team for their ODI series against New Zealand, which concluded recently.

He was initially expected to return to the PSL squad after the series, but his availability changed following medical assessments conducted by the Bangladesh team management.

Medical Review and Decision

According to an official statement from the BCB, Rahman underwent a medical evaluation after the final ODI, after which further scans and rehabilitation were recommended.

The board stated that the decision was taken in consultation with the medical team to ensure proper recovery and player welfare.

Withdrawal from PSL 2026

Following the medical assessment, the BCB confirmed that Rahman would not be available for the rest of the PSL season, and his previously issued NOC has been formally withdrawn.

The board emphasized that the decision was made in the interest of the player’s long-term fitness.

Additional Squad Updates

In a separate decision, the BCB also confirmed that fast bowler Nahid Rana will not be released for PSL participation as he prepares for Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan.

Outlook

With these changes, Bangladesh has prioritized national team preparations and player workload management ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
