Murree Police Issues Travel Advisory for Tourists During Monsoon Season
Murree Police has issued a travel advisory for visitors as a large number of tourists continue to travel to the popular hill station during the summer holiday season.
Authorities have placed the district administration and traffic police on high alert to manage increased traffic and ensure the safety of travelers. Additional police personnel have been deployed at key roads and intersections to help maintain smooth traffic flow.
Rain and Fog Affect Visibility
According to Murree District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Raza Tanveer, ongoing monsoon rains and fog have reduced visibility in several areas, causing slower traffic movement on some routes.
Officials have confirmed that most major roads leading to and within Murree remain open. However, the Rawalpindi–Murree–Kohala (RMK) Road is currently affected by road carpeting work, and travelers are advised to plan their journey accordingly.
