Pakistan to Observe Seven Holidays in August 2026
People across Pakistan are set to enjoy a total of seven holidays during August 2026, including five weekly Sundays and two officially announced public holidays.
According to the federal government’s holiday calendar, the Sundays will fall on August 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
Public Holidays in August
In addition to the weekly holidays, the government has declared the following public holidays:
- August 14 (Friday): Independence Day
- August 25 (Tuesday): Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH)
These dates were announced by the Cabinet Division in the official 2026 public and optional holidays notification.
Holiday Schedule May Vary
Government offices, educational institutions, and many public sector organizations are expected to observe these holidays. Private companies may also provide holidays, although schedules can differ depending on individual workplace policies.
