Pakistan Deports 20 Chinese Nationals in Islamabad Call Center Case

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has deported 20 Chinese nationals in connection with an investigation into an alleged illegal call center operating in Islamabad.

According to officials, the individuals were found to have violated Pakistan’s visa regulations during their stay in the country. Authorities have also placed their names on the blacklist, preventing them from returning to Pakistan.

The latest action brings the number of foreign nationals deported in connection with the case to at least 34.

34 Foreign Nationals Deported So Far

Earlier, 14 Vietnamese nationals were deported to their respective countries as part of the same investigation.

The case began after the FIA and National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) conducted a joint raid on an alleged illegal call center in the I-10 sector of Islamabad.

Officials said a total of 275 foreign nationals were taken into custody during the operation.

Investigation Into Illegal Call Center Continues

Authorities allege that the call center was involved in unlawful online activities and that foreign nationals had been recruited to work at the facility.

The FIA registered a case under the Foreign Act, while the NCCIA initiated proceedings under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

According to officials, the foreign nationals had entered Pakistan using visit or business visas.

The investigation into the alleged activities of the call center, as well as possible violations of immigration and visa regulations, is still underway.

Authorities are continuing to examine the case and determine whether further legal action or deportations will be required.
