Islamabad Police Register Multiple Kidnapping Cases in One Day

Islamabad police registered around a dozen kidnapping and missing-person cases across the capital on September 17, involving a newborn baby, women, teenagers and drivers.

The cases were reported from several areas of Islamabad, with police registering separate First Information Reports (FIRs) under different sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Newborn Recovered After Alleged Abduction From PIMS

One of the most notable incidents involved a newborn baby boy who was allegedly taken from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Police said three women took the baby outside the hospital. The incident was noticed shortly afterward, prompting the child’s mother-in-law, a female doctor and a security guard to search for the suspects.

The newborn was subsequently recovered safely, and the three women were handed over to police for legal proceedings. A case was registered under Section 364-A of the PPC. Separate reports also confirmed the baby was safely recovered and the women were detained for questioning.

Woman Reported Missing With Honda City

In I-9/4, a married woman was reported missing along with her Honda City car.

Her husband told police that she had contacted him and said she was going to visit a friend and would return shortly. When she failed to come back, he approached police, who registered a case under Section 496-A of the PPC.

Other Missing Persons Reported Across Islamabad

Another case was registered in Garden Town after a woman reported her son missing. She said that when she returned from Karachi, her son was not at home and his phone had been switched off.

According to the complaint, local residents had seen people carrying the young man’s photograph asking about him before reportedly visiting the house.

A 15-year-old girl was also reported missing from Iqbal Town after leaving home to purchase something from the market. Her family searched for her but could not locate her. Police registered a case under Section 365-B.

Cases Registered in Sihala and Model Town

In Sihala, a woman was allegedly kidnapped after an unidentified man reportedly entered a house and took valuables. Her husband approached police, leading to registration of a case under Section 496-A.

A separate case involved a 21-year-old woman who disappeared after leaving home for work at a factory. Her father filed a complaint, and police registered a case under Section 365-B.

In Model Town, an 18-year-old girl was reported missing from her home. Her mother alleged that a man had taken her away, prompting police to register another case under Section 365-B.

A 17-year-old girl was also reported missing from Naiabadi Barakah. Her grandmother nominated a man in the complaint and alleged that he had taken the teenager away. Police registered a case under Section 365-B.

Drivers and Teenager Among Those Reported Missing

In I-9/2, the driver of an officer was reported missing after leaving his employer’s office. According to his brother’s complaint, the driver handed the vehicle keys to his employer before saying he was going out for some work. He has not been traced since.

Another case involved an online cab driver who disappeared along with his vehicle. His father told police that his son had left home two days earlier and had not returned. A case was registered under Section 365 of the PPC.

Police also registered a case concerning a 16-year-old boy from Bilal Town. His father said the teenager left home following a dispute and had remained missing. Family members searched for him but were unable to locate him.

Police Continue Investigations

The reported incidents cover several areas of Islamabad and involve people of different ages and backgrounds. Police have registered separate cases based on complaints from family members and are continuing efforts to trace those reported missing.

The exact circumstances of each case will be determined through investigation and further legal proceedings.
