Moeen Ali Praises Shadab Khan Ahead of CPL 2026 Qualifier

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons captain Moeen Ali has praised Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan for his impressive contributions during the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026.
The Falcons will take on the Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 1 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, with Shadab playing an important role in the team’s progress to the knockout stage.
Moeen Highlights Shadab’s All-Round Contributions
Speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, Moeen Ali highlighted Shadab’s performances across all three departments of the game. He also pointed to the Pakistani all-rounder’s leadership qualities.
“Shadab Khan has been amazing. His quality, he has shown it with batting, bowling and in the field. He is a leader himself. He has been one of the reasons we have been doing really well in CPL 2026,” Moeen said.
Shadab’s CPL 2026 Numbers
The 27-year-old has delivered notable performances for the Falcons during the tournament.
In seven matches, Shadab has scored 132 runs, including a half-century, at a strike rate of 227.58. With the ball, he has taken six wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 4.65.
His performances have added depth to the Falcons’ batting and bowling options as they enter the knockout phase.
Strong T20I Record
Shadab also brings extensive international experience to the Falcons. He has represented Pakistan in 124 T20I matches, scoring 1,009 runs at a strike rate of 144.14.
The all-rounder has also taken 123 wickets in T20Is, with an economy rate of 7.40, underlining his long-standing contribution in the shortest format.
