Gold Prices in Pakistan Fall for Fifth Straight Day
Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Thursday, marking the fifth consecutive session of decline as international bullion rates also moved lower.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 5,600 per tola, settling at Rs. 448,336 per tola.
10-Gram Gold Price
The price of 24-karat gold also declined in the 10-gram category.
Gold was priced at Rs. 384,375 per 10 grams after recording a decrease of Rs. 4,801 during the session.
The latest drop follows a decline of Rs. 1,800 recorded on Wednesday, when gold closed at Rs. 453,936 per tola.
International Gold Prices Also Decline
Gold prices in the international market also recorded a significant fall on Thursday.
International gold declined by $56 per ounce, settling at $4,258 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
The continued movement in global bullion prices has also influenced domestic gold rates in Pakistan.
Silver Prices Move Lower
Silver prices also fell during Thursday’s trading session.
According to APGJSA data, the price of silver declined by Rs. 171 per tola, reaching Rs. 6,837 per tola.
The latest figures show that both major precious metals recorded losses in Pakistan during the session, with gold extending its decline for a fifth consecutive day.
