Nawaz Sharif’s Vehicles Damaged in London Vandalism Incident
Two vehicles belonging to former Pakistani prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif have reportedly been vandalised in London, with their windows damaged and sections of glass allegedly removed.
According to a spokesperson for the Sharif family, the incident took place two days before the report was published. The spokesperson described it as the third incident involving Nawaz Sharif’s vehicles in the British capital.
London’s Metropolitan Police have reportedly obtained CCTV footage showing two masked individuals removing glass from the vehicles. However, no arrests have been confirmed, and the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the incident remain unknown.
The incident occurred while Nawaz Sharif was staying at the family’s Avenfield Apartments in London during a visit that included medical appointments.
The family spokesperson referred to two previous incidents involving the former prime minister’s vehicles, although further details about those cases have not been made clear.
The latest development has renewed attention to security concerns involving the Sharif family in the United Kingdom. In 2021, four unidentified men allegedly attempted to enter the office of Nawaz Sharif’s son, Hassan Nawaz, while the former prime minister was present. The incident was subsequently reported to the police.
Earlier in 2026, British authorities reportedly warned members of the family about a potential violent attack following intelligence received by police. However, no connection has been established between that warning and the latest vandalism incident.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether the incident was politically motivated or related to any other dispute. Further details may emerge as the investigation progresses.
