Chelsea step up talks for Alejandro Garnacho

(Sports Correspondent: Imran Sohail)
Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Alejandro Garnacho, with personal terms already agreed between the player and the Stamford Bridge club. Negotiations are now underway with Manchester United to finalise the transfer fee.

Manchester United are actively reshaping their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season, having already secured high-profile additions such as Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha. Alongside the arrivals, several departures are also in progress.

Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Alejandro Garnacho are among the players expected to leave Old Trafford, with the Argentine winger looking the closest to completing a move.

Garnacho is reportedly set to swap United’s iconic red for Chelsea’s blue, strengthening the reigning Club World Cup champions under Enzo Maresca. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, discussions between the two clubs are focused on agreeing a fee, with the talented winger’s market value estimated at around €60 million.

This potential move could be one of the standout transfers of the summer, as Chelsea aim to further bolster their attack ahead of the new season.
