Etihad Airways Offers Free Medical Insurance for International Passengers
ABU DHABI — Etihad Airways has announced complimentary medical travel insurance for international passengers flying to Abu Dhabi, providing added health coverage during their stay in the United Arab Emirates.
Under the new initiative, eligible passengers traveling on Etihad-operated flights to Abu Dhabi from July will automatically receive medical insurance coverage for up to 15 days. No separate application will be required.
The benefit will apply to qualifying tickets issued between July and December 2026, specifically for passengers whose point of sale and destination are both outside the UAE.
Travelers using Etihad’s stopover program in Abu Dhabi will also be covered for the duration of their stay, subject to terms and conditions.
Partnership to Support Tourism
The initiative has been launched in collaboration with Abu Dhabi tourism authorities as part of efforts to enhance the travel experience and encourage more international visitors to the emirate.
The medical insurance coverage will be provided and managed by Daman, a healthcare insurer under PureHealth.
Officials say the offer is designed to make travel more convenient and appealing, particularly for transit passengers and short-term visitors seeking added peace of mind while visiting the UAE.
