Famous Petrol Pump Sealed in Islamabad After Fuel Measurement Complaint
The Islamabad district administration has sealed a petrol pump in Sector I-9 after a customer reported an alleged fuel measurement discrepancy.
According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, the complaint was received by the Assistant Commissioner (Industrial Area). In response, a magistrate visited the petrol station to conduct an on-site inspection.
Officials stated that the customer claimed the station dispensed 61 liters of petrol into a vehicle with a reported 50-liter fuel tank. After examining the matter at the location, the magistrate ordered the petrol pump to be sealed.
The station’s manager was taken into custody, and a financial penalty was also imposed as part of the enforcement action.
The Islamabad administration said it is committed to responding promptly to consumer complaints and taking action against businesses found violating relevant regulations. Authorities added that such measures are intended to protect consumer rights and promote transparency in fuel sales.
This case serves as a reminder for consumers to report any suspected irregularities so that the concerned authorities can investigate and take appropriate action where necessary.
