Gold Price Falls in Pakistan as International Rates Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a notable decline on Thursday, following a downward trend in the international market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 2,000, bringing it down to Rs. 396,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 1,714, now standing at Rs. 340,192.

On Wednesday, gold had remained steady at Rs. 398,800 per tola, showing no change.

Global Gold Prices Also Slide

Internationally, gold prices also slipped, with the global rate reported at $3,750 per ounce (including a $20 premium). This marks a $20 decrease compared to the previous day, as per APGJSA data.

Silver Prices Move Higher

In contrast to gold, silver prices increased in the local market. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs. 26, reaching Rs. 4,663.
