Hareem Malik Finishes 22nd in 100m Breaststroke Heats at Asian Games

TOKYO: Pakistan swimmer Hareem Malik finished 22nd among 25 competitors in the women’s 100m breaststroke heats at the 20th Asian Games on Wednesday.

Malik recorded a time of 1 minute and 21.12 seconds in her heat at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

Japan’s Satomi Suzuki led the heats with a time of 1:06.49, followed by China’s Qianting Tang in 1:07.04. Japan’s Katomi Kate finished third with 1:07.67.

Malik had also placed 22nd in the women’s 50m breaststroke earlier in the competition.

Pakistan’s Hamza Asif has also completed his swimming events at the continental competition.
