iPhone 18 Series May See Higher Prices Amid Rising Costs

The upcoming iPhone 18 series could become one of Apple’s most expensive smartphone lineups, according to early industry estimates.

Reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro may start at around $1,299, with some variants potentially reaching $1,399 depending on final specifications and features.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro launched at $1,099, meaning the new model could see a noticeable price increase.

Industry sources attribute the possible rise to higher production costs, especially for memory and storage components, which have become significantly more expensive in recent months. Apple has also indicated that rising component costs are putting pressure on future pricing.

According to estimates from research firms, the cost of key components such as DRAM and storage has increased sharply compared to previous generations, pushing up overall manufacturing expenses for Apple devices.

If Apple maintains its current profit margins, analysts believe the retail price of the iPhone 18 Pro could fall in the $1,299 to $1,399 range, while the Pro Max model may exceed $1,400.

What It Could Mean for Buyers in Pakistan

If global prices increase, smartphones in Pakistan are also expected to become more expensive due to import duties, taxes, and currency fluctuations, as Apple does not have local manufacturing or official retail pricing in the country.
