Mobile Network Package Prices Updated in Pakistan, PTA Shares Latest Tariff Details
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published updated tariff information for mobile packages offered by the country’s major telecom operators, including Jazz, Zong, Ufone, and Telenor.
According to the regulator, the updated information is available through the Consumer Awareness section of the PTA website and is intended to help users compare package prices and make informed choices.
Changes in Mobile Package Prices
The latest tariff data indicates that prices for several call and data bundles have increased over the past year, with some packages recording increases of up to 33 percent.
According to the published information:
- Some monthly hybrid packages have increased by up to Rs. 500.
- 15-day hybrid bundles have seen increases of up to Rs. 300.
- Weekly packages have become costlier by up to Rs. 130.
- Certain 3-day bundles have increased by up to Rs. 21.
- Some 2-day packages have increased by up to Rs. 20.
- Selected 1-day hybrid bundles have increased by up to Rs. 5.
Actual prices vary depending on the operator and the package selected.
PTA Enhances Consumer Awareness
PTA said it has upgraded the Consumer Awareness section of its official website to provide a clearer view of tariff trends for the top 15 subscriber-wise hybrid and data-only bundles offered by Pakistan’s major mobile operators.
The updated information includes:
- Current package prices
- Quarterly tariff history
- Annual percentage changes
- Package validity
- Call, SMS, and internet incentives
Helping Consumers Compare Packages
According to PTA, the initiative is designed to improve transparency in the telecom sector and enable consumers to compare available packages more easily before subscribing.
The regulator has encouraged users to regularly check the PTA Consumer Awareness portal and the official websites of their respective mobile operators for the latest package prices and promotional offers.
PTA stated that the initiative reflects its ongoing efforts to promote greater transparency and protect consumer interests in Pakistan’s telecommunications sector.
