The Orange Line services in Islamabad and Lahore have been temporarily suspended due to road closures and enhanced security measures in both cities.

In Islamabad, the Orange Line Bus Service is affected, while in Lahore, the Orange Line Metro Train operations have been halted until further notice.

According to officials, the suspension is a precautionary step taken to ensure public safety and manage traffic during the implementation of Section 144 across Punjab.

The Punjab government imposed Section 144 in response to potential security concerns. The order restricts public gatherings, rallies, protests, sit-ins, and processions until October 18.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department stated that the directive also bans the display of weapons, use of loudspeakers, and distribution of inflammatory material.

Authorities assured that Orange Line operations will resume soon once the situation improves and road closures are lifted. Citizens are advised to follow official updates for the latest information on service restoration.
