Two Pakistan-born hockey players, Arif Siddiqui and Parvez Iqbal, have been selected to represent the United States in the Masters Hockey World Cup 2026 in the men’s over-65 category.

The prestigious tournament will be held across the Netherlands and Belgium from July 26 to August 16, bringing together 120 teams from 23 countries competing in six different age categories.

Both players were born in Karachi and have remained closely connected to the sport throughout their careers. Their selection for the U.S. squad reflects decades of experience and continued commitment to international masters hockey.

Arif Siddiqui is no stranger to the Masters Hockey World Cup, having previously represented both Pakistan and the United States. He played for Pakistan in the 2014 edition before later competing for the U.S., including in 2024.

Parvez Iqbal has also represented Pakistan in international hockey during his career. The 2026 tournament will mark his first appearance at the Masters Hockey World Cup as a member of the United States team.

The selection of the two Karachi-born players has been welcomed by members of the hockey community, who view it as recognition of their dedication to the sport and the lasting impact of Pakistan’s hockey tradition on players competing around the world.

The Masters Hockey World Cup is one of the leading international events for veteran players, providing experienced athletes the opportunity to continue competing at a high level while promoting the spirit and legacy of field hockey across generations.
