Pakistan Win Bronze in PUBG Mobile to Claim Fifth Asian Games Medal

Pakistan added another medal to its tally at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Tuesday after the national PUBG Mobile team won a bronze medal in the esports competition.
The Pakistani team finished third with 100 points at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname. Thailand won the gold medal with 128 points, while China secured silver after collecting 114 points.
Strong Finish in Final Match
Pakistan sealed its bronze medal with a third-place finish in the 12th and final match.
The team scored 12 points, including four placement points and eight elimination points. Japan won the final match with 18 points, while Thailand finished second with 14.
Pakistan had entered the second day of competition in medal contention after collecting 39 points from the opening six matches.
The team then added 61 points across the remaining six matches to reach its final total of 100.
Pakistan’s PUBG Mobile Squad
Pakistan’s bronze-medal-winning team consisted of:
- Mohammad Huzaifa
- Shayan Asad
- Falak Sher
- Hasnain Rehman
- Syed Sameer
The squad’s strongest performances on the second day included 16 points in the seventh match, followed by 10 points each in the eighth and ninth matches. Pakistan then collected 12 points in the 11th match and another 12 in the final game.
Fifth Medal for Pakistan
The PUBG Mobile bronze became Pakistan’s fifth medal at the Asian Games, with all five medals coming in bronze.
Pakistan’s medal tally also includes bronze medals won by the women’s cricket team, MMA fighter Asim Khan, and squash players Noor Zaman and Ashab Irfan.
The women’s cricket team secured its medal on September 22 after defeating Bangladesh by 31 runs. Noor Zaman and Ashab Irfan also secured bronze medals after reaching the men’s singles squash semi-finals.
Thailand Take Gold
Thailand dominated the overall standings with 128 points, finishing 28 points ahead of Pakistan.
China took the silver medal with 114 points, while Vietnam and Indonesia both finished on 95 points. South Korea recorded 71 points, followed by Chinese Taipei with 62 and Jordan with 61.
The esports event featured 12 teams, with medals determined by the combined points earned across 12 matches over two days.
