Pakistani Hospital Achieves International Recognition with Dual JCI Certifications
Shifa International Hospital has achieved a significant milestone in healthcare by earning Joint Commission International (JCI) Clinical Care Program Certifications for both Acute Ischemic Stroke and Acute Coronary Syndrome care programs.
According to hospital officials, this accomplishment makes Shifa International Hospital the first healthcare institution in Pakistan to receive certification in both specialized programs. The recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to maintaining high standards in patient care and clinical excellence.
The certifications were awarded following a comprehensive evaluation by JCI surveyors, who reviewed various aspects of the hospital’s healthcare services. The assessment covered emergency response systems, diagnosis procedures, treatment protocols, rehabilitation services, and long-term patient management.
JCI accreditation is widely recognized as an international benchmark for healthcare quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement in medical services.
Hospital representatives stated that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, quality assurance teams, and support staff who worked together to meet internationally recognized standards.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Zeeshan Bin Ishtiaque described the recognition as an important achievement for both the institution and Pakistan’s healthcare sector. He acknowledged the dedication and teamwork of the hospital’s staff in reaching this milestone.
The dual certification further strengthens the hospital’s position as a leading healthcare provider and demonstrates Pakistan’s growing presence in the field of internationally accredited medical care.
Healthcare experts view such recognitions as valuable indicators of quality improvement, patient-centered care, and adherence to globally accepted clinical practices.
