Pakistani Rupee Strengthens Against Major Global Currencies

The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) ended Wednesday on a positive note, posting a slight gain against the US Dollar (USD) while also strengthening against several other major international currencies.

According to the latest market data, the rupee closed at Rs. 277.91 per US dollar, improving by one paisa compared to the previous trading session.

Rupee Holds Steady Against the US Dollar

The local currency has continued to show stability in recent months, maintaining a consistent performance against the US dollar.

Performance Against Other Major Currencies

The rupee also recorded gains against several leading global currencies:

  • British Pound (GBP): PKR strengthened by Rs. 1.78
  • Euro (EUR): PKR gained 48 paisas
  • Australian Dollar (AUD): PKR improved by 77 paisas
  • Canadian Dollar (CAD): PKR advanced by 39 paisas
  • Chinese Yuan (CNY): PKR gained 6 paisas

Meanwhile, the rupee remained largely unchanged against the UAE Dirham (AED) and registered a slight decline of 2 paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
