Petrol and Diesel Prices Cut in Pakistan
The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) following the latest fuel price update issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the revised rates, petrol has become cheaper by Rs2.27 per litre, bringing its price down from Rs391.30 to Rs389.03 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3.56 per litre, taking the new rate from Rs408.53 to Rs404.97 per litre.
Latest Petrol and Diesel Rates
The revised prices follow several changes in fuel rates during September. Petrol had increased by Rs2.02 per litre in the previous update, while diesel had recorded a reduction of Rs3.59 per litre.

Fuel Prices Continue to Change
Since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions, petrol and diesel rates have moved significantly.
According to the available September figures, petrol has increased by Rs78.32 per litre, while diesel has risen by Rs81.67 per litre since the start of the daily pricing mechanism.
Despite the latest reduction, fuel prices remain considerably higher than their levels at the beginning of the daily revision period.
The changes in petrol and diesel prices can affect transportation costs as well as the prices of goods and services that depend on road transportation.
