Punjab Government Seals Hundreds of Unregistered Private Schools in Lahore

The Lahore Education Authority has intensified its inspection campaign against unregistered private schools while accelerating an ongoing citywide survey of educational institutions.

According to officials, Lahore has more than 14,000 private schools, but the online survey has so far been completed for around 6,000 institutions. To speed up the remaining work, the authority has assigned additional teachers to assist with the survey process.

During inspections conducted as part of the survey, officials identified 324 private schools operating without registration. The Lahore Education Authority said these institutions were sealed in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The authority stated that action is being taken against schools operating without the required registration to ensure compliance with education laws and regulatory standards.

Officials added that the online survey of private schools across Lahore is continuing and expressed confidence that the process will be completed this week.

The Education Authority said the survey is aimed at developing an updated record of private educational institutions and improving oversight of the sector.
