Members of the Hindi film industry visited Malaika Arora and her family on Thursday evening to offer their condolences following the tragic passing of her father, Anil Kuldip Mehta, who died by suicide on Wednesday morning, as confirmed by the police.
Actor Salman Khan was among those seen arriving at the Arora residence. Malaika was previously married to Salman’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, and the couple divorced in 2017. Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Kriti Sanon, Shilpa Shetty, Gauri Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Bhavana Pandey, also visited Malaika to offer their support. These women are part of Malaika’s close circle of friends.

Wednesday. She wrote, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.”
Malaika Arora’s parents separated when she was 11, after which she moved to Chembur with her mother, Joyce Polycarp, and sister, Amrita Arora. Malaika, a former model and video jockey (VJ), has made a mark in the entertainment industry, featuring in popular dance numbers and serving as a judge on various dance shows, such as India’s Best Dancer, Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Zara Nachke Dikha. She has also been a judge on India’s Got Talent and Supermodel of the Year. Additionally, Malaika runs a yoga studio, an apparel brand, and a food delivery platform.
