2027 Formula 1 Calendar Announced With Monaco Sprint Race

Formula 1 has unveiled its 2027 race calendar, featuring 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and 10 sprint events, including a sprint weekend in Monaco.
The new season will begin in Bahrain in March and conclude in Abu Dhabi in December. The calendar also includes the return of Portugal and Turkey, while the Netherlands will not feature on the 2027 schedule.
Bahrain to Host Pre-Season Testing and Opening Race
The 2027 Formula 1 season will begin with pre-season testing in Bahrain from February 24 to 27.
Bahrain will then host the opening Grand Prix from March 12 to 14, followed by the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah from March 19 to 21.
The Gulf races come after disruptions affected the 2026 calendar amid the ongoing regional conflict. Formula 1 has contingency arrangements in place for this year’s later races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi should safety concerns affect their staging.
Abu Dhabi is scheduled to host the final race of the 2027 season from December 10 to 12.
Monaco to Host Sprint Weekend
One of the notable changes to the 2027 schedule is the inclusion of a sprint race in Monaco.
The Monaco Grand Prix will take place from June 4 to 6, with the sprint event making the iconic street circuit part of Formula 1’s expanded sprint calendar.
A total of 10 sprint weekends will be held during the 2027 season.
Portugal and Turkey Return to F1 Calendar
Portugal is set to return to the Formula 1 calendar in June, with the race scheduled at Portimao from June 18 to 20.
Turkey will also rejoin the championship in October. The Istanbul race is scheduled for October 1 to 3, positioned between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands has been removed from the 2027 calendar.
