At least 33 people have died and dozens more were injured due to lightning strikes during severe monsoon storms in Bihar, eastern India, officials confirmed Friday.
The fatalities occurred between Wednesday and Thursday, mainly affecting farmers and laborers working outdoors, according to a statement from the Bihar State Disaster Management Department.
