Australia Confirms 20-Man Squad for WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2025

Australia has officially finalized its 20-player roster for the upcoming 2025 WBSC U-18 World Cup, presented by RAXUS. The announcement follows an intensive week-long selection camp held on the Gold Coast, supported by Invest Gold Coast, where 34 of the nation’s top young talents competed for a spot.

From the group, selectors named eight pitchers and 12 position players to represent Team Australia at the prestigious event in Okinawa, Japan next month.

“We have a very versatile team,” said manager Jason Pospishil. “Wearing the Australian jersey is always an honour, and when the anthem plays, it reminds you of the responsibility that comes with it.”

The final roster includes players from all seven state representative teams that featured in the Australian Youth Championships earlier this year. Notably, Josh Nati, a returner from the 2023 U-18 World Cup, and Mitch Evans, who recently signed with the Detroit Tigers organization, add valuable international experience.

Team Australia departs on August 31, with tournament action beginning September 5 in Okinawa.
