England’s cricket team is expected to arrive in Islamabad on October 15 to participate in the upcoming ODI tri-series featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 18 and conclude with the final on October 31.

The 16-member England squad, captained by Harry Brook, will travel from London to Pakistan for the seven-match competition. Matches will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the squad earlier this month. The touring party includes several prominent players, such as Joe Root, Ben Duckett, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Will Jacks and Jamie Overton.

Rawalpindi to Host Opening Matches

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the first three fixtures of the tri-series.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will open the tournament on October 18. Pakistan will then take on England on October 20, while Sri Lanka will face England on October 22.

Lahore to Host Remaining Fixtures

The competition will move to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for the remaining league matches.

Pakistan are scheduled to play England on October 25 before meeting Sri Lanka on October 27. The final league fixture, between Sri Lanka and England, will take place on October 29.

The top two teams in the standings will advance to the final, which is scheduled to be played in Lahore on October 31.

Tri-Series to Support World Cup Preparations

The ODI tri-series will provide Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka with an opportunity to assess their combinations and prepare for the upcoming ICC World Cup.

Ticket sales for the tournament are already underway, with cricket fans set to watch the three teams compete across venues in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
