Pakistan Football Federation’s New Logo Sparks Mixed Reactions

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), under its new leadership led by Mohsen Gilani, recently unveiled a redesigned logo as part of its efforts to refresh the organization’s identity and future vision. The move, formally approved by all 13 members of the federation’s Executive Committee, was presented as a reflection of Pakistan’s “culture, heritage, and ambitions in football.”

Explaining the change, PFF President Mohsen Gilani noted that the previous emblem no longer represented the nation’s aspirations. “Our new logo is meant to highlight the spirit of Pakistan, our culture, and our ambitions on the global stage. A fresh identity is essential as we work to rebuild and promote football in the country,” he stated.

The federation also emphasized that the new design aligns with sponsor expectations and international standards, describing it as part of a broader plan to modernize the sport’s image and restore Pakistan’s presence in world football.

However, the unveiling has sparked mixed reactions among fans. While officials consider the logo a symbol of new beginnings, many supporters on social media expressed reservations, suggesting that more focus should be placed on grassroots development, stronger domestic competitions, and better facilities for players.

The feedback highlights the challenges facing the new administration as it seeks to rebuild trust and deliver meaningful progress. Fans remain hopeful that alongside branding changes, practical steps will follow to uplift football standards in the country.

For now, the redesigned emblem represents the intent of Gilani’s administration to bring change and modernization. Whether it becomes a lasting symbol of progress will depend on how effectively the federation addresses the long-standing needs of players, clubs, and supporters across Pakistan.
