Seventh-ranked Jack Draper to miss remainder of tennis season with left arm injury

Jack Draper to Miss Remainder of Tennis Season Due to Left Arm Injury

New York, USA –

Jack Draper, ranked seventh in the world, will miss the rest of the 2025 tennis season after a left arm injury forced him to withdraw from his second-round match at the U.S. Open.

Draper, who reached the U.S. Open semifinals last year, has been struggling with the injury throughout the season. He was diagnosed with a bone bruise after a second-round loss to Marin Cilic at Wimbledon.

β€œIt is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff,” Draper said in a statement on Monday. β€œHowever, I’ve been through this before and I always come back stronger, as I’m so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player.”

The 23-year-old British star had not played singles since Wimbledon due to the upper left arm injury. He managed a win against Federico Agustin Gomez in the opening round of the U.S. Open before withdrawing ahead of his second-round match.

With the season cut short, fans will be eagerly awaiting Draper’s return in 2026 as he looks to regain form and continue his rise in the ATP rankings.
