ISLAMABAD – September 23, 2025: The Pakistani rupee continued its upward trend against the US dollar on Tuesday, recording its 33rd consecutive gain in the interbank market.

Currency Movements

  • Interbank Rate: Rupee closed at Rs. 281.42, up by Rs. 0.03 from Monday’s Rs. 281.45.

  • Open Market: Dollar quoted at Rs. 282.25 for buying and Rs. 282.45 for selling, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan.

  • Other Currencies:

    • Euro: Rs. 331.71, up Rs. 1

    • Japanese Yen: Rs. 1.90, unchanged

    • British Pound: Rs. 380.48, up Rs. 1.05

The consistent appreciation of the rupee reflects positive trends in the foreign exchange market, although analysts advise monitoring macro-economic factors and global currency fluctuations.
